Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Communication Networks (IJAICN) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Communication Networks, Computer Science, Wireless Communication, Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and related interdisciplinary technologies.

Authors are invited to submit high-quality manuscripts that contribute to scientific advancement, intelligent communication systems, and technological innovation. The journal follows internationally recognized scholarly publishing practices consistent with ISSN International Centre guidelines, Scopus indexing requirements, and IEEE-style academic standards. 

1. Manuscript Submission

Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged. Authors must submit their manuscript as a single Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) containing the complete text, tables, figures, and references.

The journal accepts submissions only through electronic mail attachments. Authors will receive an acknowledgement email after successful submission. 

2. Types of Manuscripts

IJAICN publishes the following categories of scholarly manuscripts:

Research Articles

Research articles present original research findings, experiments, communication models, intelligent algorithms, network architectures, or theoretical developments. The methodology and results must be clearly described to allow other researchers to verify and reproduce the work.

Short Communications

Short Communications report concise results of smaller investigations, innovative communication techniques, prototype systems, or early-stage research findings. These manuscripts are generally shorter than full research articles but must maintain scientific quality and technical rigor.

Review Articles

Review papers summarize and critically analyze recent developments in specific areas of Artificial Intelligence, Communication Networks, Computer Science, or related technological domains. Reviews should provide a comprehensive overview of current research trends, challenges, and future research directions.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by subject experts. 

3. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English.

The manuscript should be prepared in Microsoft Word format and organized in the following structure:

·       Title

·       Author(s) Name and Affiliation

·       Abstract

·       Keywords

·       Introduction

·       Literature Review (if applicable)

·       Materials and Methods / Methodology

·       Results

·       Discussion

·       Conclusion

·       Acknowledgement (optional)

·       References 

4. Manuscript Formatting

To facilitate professional typesetting, authors should follow these formatting requirements:

Layout

Single-column format throughout the manuscript.

Font

Times New Roman, 12-point font.

Title

Bold, centered, and written in sentence case with capital letters for important words.

Authors

Author names should appear below the title followed by full institutional affiliation including department, institution, city, country, and email address.

Abstract

The abstract should be concise and summarize the objectives, methodology, results, and significance of the study.

The abstract should typically contain 150–250 words and should not include references, tables, figures, or bullet points.

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords separated by semicolons.

Example

5. Figures and Illustrations

Figures must be clear, properly labeled, and included within the manuscript at appropriate positions.

Guidelines include:

·       Prefer grayscale figures unless color is necessary for clarity.

·       Each figure must have a descriptive caption.

·       Figures should be numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).

·       Images should be high-resolution for publication quality. 

6. Tables

Tables must be prepared using the table function of MS Word and should not be submitted as images.

·       Tables must be numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).

·       Each table should include a clear and descriptive caption.

·       Tables must be cited within the text. 

7. Equations and Mathematical Expressions

Equations should be created using the MS Word Equation Editor.

·       Equations must be numbered sequentially.

·       Equation numbers should appear in parentheses on the right side.

All mathematical symbols used in equations must be clearly defined within the manuscript. 

8. Materials and Methods

This section must clearly describe:

·       Materials and equipment used

·       Experimental procedures

·       Communication protocols or algorithms applied

·       Software tools or simulation platforms used

·       Data sources and datasets

·       Network architectures or system configurations

The information should be detailed enough to allow other researchers to replicate the study. 

9. References and Citation Style

References should follow a numbered citation style similar to IEEE referencing format.

In-text citations should appear as:

[1]
[2–5]
[3, p. 105]

All references must be listed at the end of the manuscript in numerical order.

Book Reference

S. A. Edwards, The Nanotech Pioneers, Wiley-VCH Verlag, Weinheim, 2006, pp. 1–14.

Journal Article

F. T. Kendle and P. R. Fried, “Article Title,” Journal Name, vol. 3, no. 4, 2001, pp. 10–15.

Conference Proceedings

Authors are encouraged to cite recent and relevant international literature. 

10. Ethical Standards

IJAICN follows internationally accepted ethical publishing standards consistent with COPE, Scopus, and IEEE guidelines.

Authors must ensure that:

·       The manuscript is original and unpublished.

·       The work is not under review elsewhere.

·       All sources are properly cited.

·       There is no plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification.

All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software. 

11. Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors will be required to submit a signed Copyright Transfer Form or Publication Agreement.

Authors retain responsibility for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material such as images, tables, datasets, or third-party content. 

12. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJAICN undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The review process typically involves:

1.     Initial editorial screening

2.     Assignment to expert reviewers

3.     Reviewer evaluation and comments

4.     Author revision (if required)

5.     Final editorial decision

The average review process may take approximately 2–4 weeks depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity. 

13. Proofs and Publication

Accepted manuscripts are professionally copyedited, formatted, and typeset before publication.

Authors will receive page proofs for final approval prior to publication.
